Over Mailbox Limit
If you are getting a message about being over your mailbox limit, there are a few things you need to do.
First, it is a good idea to select "yes" when the message appears asking you if you want to archive older messages. This will allow your older email messages to be stored on your own computer instead of on the server, saving valuable server space. These older messages will no longer count towards your email box size limit.
Second, try to keep your inbox uncluttered by deleting messages you no longer need. Then, once they are deleted, open up your "deleted items" folder and delete them from there...
Third, delete any messages with attachments (pictures / powerpoint
presentations / video, etc... ) as soon as you are finished with
them. For example, a single 3 minute movie file could fill up your
entire mailbox, while 5000 text messages wouldn't even come close... Hint: email
with attachments has a paperclip icon
next to it in your inbox.... If you click the paperclip icon
at the top of that column, it will group all messages with attachments together
for easy access. Remember to click the header "sent" when
you are finished, so that the message will again be sorted in order of date!
After following these steps, if you still are getting the message about being over your mailbox limit, please let me know and I'll be happy to help you out!
